1. How are starting salary packages determined in SID?
Your starting salary package will be based on:

• Your credentials, such as your work experience, skills, and qualifications

• The demands of the job, such as the type of work and its complexity

• Prevailing labour market conditions

2. How many days of leave are SID officers entitled to?
SID’s leave benefits follow civil service provisions. Officers new to the civil service are entitled to 18 days of vacation leave. This increases to 21 days after 10 years.
